Human Meeting is an encounter. Thierry Lange-Berteaux and Mario Canonge have known each other for some twenty years, and sometimes play together. For a concert in Montbazon in 2022, organized by the Jazz Club de Tours, the two leaders were accompanied by two loyal musicians, double bassist Guillaume Souriau and saxophonist Ricardo Izquierdo. The result is the well-recorded Search For Peace, on which the four men express their freedom and connivance over a judicious repertoire of long-form standards. Away from the constraints of studio recording, they invite us to share this colorful evening.
